Arrabbiata in Italian dialect means angry or enraged, but translates in English to hot and spicy. Our spicy Arrabbiata sauce is perfect on a cold winter’s day served over penne. Pepe’s mom used this sauce to create Lobster Fra Diavolo: sauté garlic in olive oil, add fresh lobster, deglaze with white wine, add sauce, then simmer about 10 minutes and serve over spaghetti…mamma mia!

About Pepe & Pants
"Back in the 50s as childhood friends in Hoboken, Richie Pèpe and Joey Pantoliano often sat around the kitchen table with their large Italian families. Over a bowl of pasta, they’d talk of ways to become successful and “live the American dream” just like their immigrant grandparents sought when they came to America from Southern Italy. During high school in Cliffside Park, Pèpe worked at the local bakery and Joey took acting classes on the side. Little did they realize at the time how these choices would shape their lives. Pepe went on to become an accomplished restaurateur and entrepreneur while Joey Pants became a highly successful actor. Together, over the years, they tried many attempts to make an extra buck. One day, again over a bowl of pasta, they realized the one thing they did well was to make a great sauce. So, 40 years later, here they are offering you their family recipes that came over “on the boat” with their grandparents.
